Defiance of conformity comes in many forms, and for Blue, the Misfit, it comes in every form. The LA native, now Dallas-dwelling rapper, producer and visionary is about to release his second, highly anticipated album Perfect Night for a Funeral. While some will be expecting the trap vibes of his last album, Child in the Wild, they’ll be getting into something beautifully ominous. “It’s dark, it’s cinematic and reckless. A roller coaster of emotions and feels. It’s based on my lifestyle of being out every night and the adventures that I see all the time. It’s fun, it’s reflective, it’s about finding yourself in that space and not getting lost in it,” says Blue.
Usually, you can find Blue DJing, hosting and performing at a wide range of popular Dallas venues and adding that extra, cool vibe to already perfect evenings. From All [Blank] Everything with DJ John Stewart on Sundays to first Saturdays at Off the Record—you can catch Blue all over the city, on almost any given day. And he’s no stranger to Art Con either. “I had the pleasure of DJing at ArtCon last year and had a blast. I’m looking forward to coming back and doing it again,” Blue says.
Be there for his headlining DJ set at ART CON 12, on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Cedars Union. Get your tickets now!
